On September 26, Dr. Ralf Gerke-Cantow presented the enormous advantages of Visiometa's simulation and planning software for castings at the Spanish Foundry Congress - Jornada Fundición 2024 - in Bilbao.

In his presentation he emphasized the great time-saving advantage, and thus the considerable cost savings, in adapting the functional component to a casting-suitable design by means of the tools provided by the software. It is possible to detect hot spots, analyze the local wall thickness and create gating and feeding systems. The results can be exported into common CAD exchange formats for further validation and tooling.

During the day, sales representatives Dieter Boje and Angel Boix accompanied the day to answer all the questions of the visitors. Of great interest was also the participation of Tafalla Iron Foundry, represented by their industrial director José Antonio Molina Apezteguía and maintenance and programming engineer Iñigo Fresan. All in all, it was a very interesting event in which leading companies took part thanks to the perfect organization by Metalspain.
